Default Battery changing....

OK, this might be a stupid question, but I am changing batteries this week, first time cart mechanic. With the key in the "off" position is there any other items that need to be unhooked to ensure nothing is shorted?

Thanks,

OC

Tow/Run switch on tow if your cart has one. Unhook the main neg first then go in line to the next battery and so on. Install in the reverse direction.

I have climbed all over/under this cart, I don't see a tow/run switch, doesn't mean I might have missed it, any place I should be looking for this switch? No switches located in the front below the seat except the F/R lever and charging plug-in.

Thanks,

OC

Might not have one. What year is it and can you post the serial #? That will tell about everything.

if you have a lever for f/r , and not a rocker switch, you don't have a tow/run switch

make sure you start by unhooking your main neg. and pos. cables 1st........main neg cable and tape end up to insulate and than main pos same deal.........and when you are ready to hook cables back up the last 2 should be your main pos.....and lastly your main neg. .................as for the batteries themselves put new ones in exactly as old ones came out....what i mean is the pos and neg terminals in the same exact locations......................
