Good to know! Next time I need some I will try to get them to order it for me. I am 3 hours north of Houston on US59 and do make it down there pretty often and will look next time i'm down there. Maybe next time I take the kids to the boardwalk!

Autozone shows 30W on their website, and my local store had it in stock...

PS-EVERY grocery store has Wesson in stock!

Good to know that AutoZone carries it... unfortunately three stores somewhat in my area don't have it in stock.

Worst case order it from Amazon and if you're a Prime member you'll get it in 2 days with free shipping and no tax

I used that search, and it said it wasn't in my local store, either. But there it was!

Anyways, just a thought. FWIW, if I had already put 10w30 in, I'd just run it anyways.

(And I thought your post was going to jump on my Wesson comment!)

New to the board with big plans for the EZGO that the wife purchased this summer. However, I have extensive knowledge in cars and drag racing. Motor oil in a tranny/diff is a hard pill to swallow, even though I know the manual calls for it. The manual transmissions these days are running light weight gear oils carrying the "GM Syncromesh" nomenclature. I have read that these equate to a 5W-30 non-detergent oil with a friction modifer and an EP (extreme pressure) additive. In my opinion this would be a better oil for diff. There are plenty of Synthetic manufactureres making the Synchromesh gear oils too: Amsoil, Royal Purple, Mobil One, etc.

I will be changing mine out to Amsoil when I swap motors.

gberg,
Your knowledge of highly tuned vehicles is impressive However, we are talking about a golf cart, right? I'm sure when I added synthetic oil, it was overkill, but it was leftover oil. What exactly are the pressures that a differential produces in a clubcar running 30 mph? Also, I bet the gears in my precedent are not refined enough to benefit from such a specialized lubricant.

Just my 2 cents

i,m a tried and true amesoil man.......i have been using amesoil in everything i own that needs oil in it and i,ll never go to anything else........even their newer products such as powerfoam is awsome and works just as its meant to...............their 2 cycle pre mix is by far the best on the market and their motor, and tranny oils as well as rear end lubes ,oils are also right at the top of the food chain.........my 97 tahoe with 140,000 miles on it is amesoil complete, engine oil, trans oil, rear end and all grease fittings with their grease......i get awsome gas milage that i won,t post because some people just don,t beleive the truck can get it and i,m tired of proving it............i started using it when all they sold was motor oil over 20 years ago in a 1986 buick regal..............i noticed an immediate difference in the cars preformance and i have never looked back, over the years i have had 0 issues with anything i use their product in but about 10 years ago my boss who also used it like me did have an issue and in the end they stood behind their warranty claims and made my boss whole again, also impressive i thought he was screwed but they paid up.................anyways we all have our favorites and there are a lot of Co,s that make claims but amesoil is everything they say it is and they do in fact stand behind it............................
