MCOR or Controller?

On my new build, 48V series with 36V motor and 36V F/R, I am not getting any throttle response from time to time just a solenoid click. I jumpped the solenoid to see if that was the issue and nothing. When it does happen, I ger the red flashing 3X's. The Alltrax trouble shooting guide states that 3 red flashes is:

High pedal disable alarm:

Solutions:

Remove foot from throttle on power up. (not an issue)
Throtle out of range, replace throttle
Disable HPD switch in controller pro.

This is a brand new Alltrax NPX4844 and a brand new MCOR which I know new things can be defective. Where should I start to find the problem. The cart functions flawlessly other than that.

Post a diagram of how the cart is wired ... I think I know how you can beat that.

This is a close as I could get to this Frankenstien cart. Because there is no OBC, it is modified some. The brown, red and orange are not used at all(no buzzer or Batt light). I have a 36V F/R lever so there is only one microswitch. With that, The green/white from the MCOR is into the microswitch. The second plug from the microswitch goes to the small + on the solenoid. The black from the MCOR has no micro to go to so it goes streight into pin "2" on the controller. The gray wire from the charger port is also not used. Other than that, it is just a simple series wiring that TahoeDawg walked me through.

I had the same problem with an Alltrax 4844 and a new MCOR (converted from a V-Glide). I thought it was the solenoid but that tested ok so I removed the controller and refitted the original Curtis and have not had the problem again, so I deducted the controller is faulty.

Just got off the phone will Alltrax. They said the MCOR and NPX have trouble with eachother. He said it was a HPD cutoff. I could send in the controller and he would reprogram and would work great.

Its a pity they don't have that info on their web site so that the thing can be bought right the first time. I mean MCOR has ONLY been available for the last 10 years

I hear you on that! He said if I had bought a programable unit he could send me a fix but now I have to take it off and send it in. Pain in the butt!

Glad you found the solution but I don't understand why it has trouble with the MCOR but not the V-glide or original Pot-Box... that's ridiculous.... They all three put out the same frequencies, the controller shouldn't be able to tell the difference.

I don't know David, it's way over my head. He said that for some reason with the MCOR the throttle is almost out of range all of the time. Thats why it shuts down sometimes and doesn't function properly. It cuts out the most when I get off the pedal to slow for a curve and then try to get back in the pedal. I could live with it but I want it to be right so I am sending it back to be programmed.
