I think this is the problem, for test purposes, remove one of the small grounds and install a + jumper wire. The cart should run. No? try the removing the other ground wire and replace it.
You need one + and one - at the small posts to make the solenoid work & the cart run.
Let me know what happens.

ok i removed the white and black wire and the red wire on the same small terminal these should give me power when the pedal is pressed? if i power that small terminal the solenoid clicks but the motor does nothing in f or r but i have 36 volts on both large terminals all the time

how did this start? did it break down or did you get the cart this way? has anyone else worked on it? something with those small wires dosn,t seem right...there should be a small wire that runs off one of the large post over to V-glide............................................. ......

the cart has had the solenoid removed before i got it but looking at the wiring diagram it looks ok it was running fine and just wont go anymore i am wondering if the controller is grounding the wrong wire or something also what are the jumpers on the solenoid resistors or diodes can they be bad

you have a - where you should have a +
Use you meter to test continuity and find where the wires in question go and what their function is.

there should be a resistor and a diode and yes they can go bad.......also the diode goes on one way only......the silver band on it goes toward positive...................................
