48 volt solonoid won't energize
I have a 97 (A9747- 624222) cart that I can' get the solonoid to engerize. Solonoid seems to be okay because I took all wires off each terminals and put my ohmmeter across big posts and put 48v to small posts. Contacts will close showing o ohms and when 48v is removed shows open. Reading 51v on positive side of solonoid going to positive of battery. Reading 51v on small post of solonoid when i turn the key on. I' have trace wires to the v glider and forward & reverse switch. They all seem to be okay. The solonoid has a blue/white wire on the small post going to the controller, but I don't know where it comes out. I would think it would go to the negative side of battery pack. Can you give me some help on this or how to troubleshoot the controller. Better than that , help me fix this cart. Thanks either way.

Re: 48 volt solonoid won't energize
That small blue and white wire to the controller may go to the controller B- for a constant negative supply then your solenoid would engage when you turn the key on? Not ideal because the solenoid could be left on (which would shorten it's life)....but it would work. Better if you could open the V-glide and see if the MS in there is okay.

Check all your micro switches first. Do you have a diagram you are working with?

forgot to tell you I've checked the micros and check ohms on the pot. It checks 5000 &will go down to 10 to 12 ohms when moving the v gluide

Did you test the micro in the V-glide?

Yes, It's open , closes when i press the pedal down. I believe this is the only micro switch it has.

Re: 48 volt solonoid won't energize
There should be 2 or 3 micros on the F&R
Is the V glide micro getting power in and out? |

Re: 48 volt solonoid won't energize
I feel your pain. I am working on a 97 that is doing the exact same thing. I loose power at the blue/white wire coming from the controller. If you jump across the two main (big) posts on the soleniod the cart will run for a while, maybe even a few days and then all of the sudden out of no where you loose power from the wire again. I have checked everything I could think of as well. I even put a new soleniod in it for the fun of it and that didn't help. Can't swap in another controller to try either because it has the T-box controller in it. It is starting to try my patience.
