Power Drive 2 / 3 What is difference?

As the subject line reads, what is difference between two? I bought a PD3 on eBay, it showed up smashed from UPS, have been waiting over a month on the UPS claim to have seller send me a replacement, tired of waiting, found several PD2 for less than $35. But am I wasting my money on a PD2?
