Lights go out when I press accelerator.

Hello,

I have a 1997 club car DS 48v non-regen cart. The lights recently went out, I found a blown fuse and replaced it. However, the lights blew again as soon as the cart began backing up. I assume I have a short somewhere, however, why would it only happen when the accelerator is pressed? Any thoughts on where I should start looking for the short?

see where the wires are running and make sure they arn,t rubbing near the acell. rod...............maybe a bare spot??................................
