Sticker removal?
I have an extra DS body that I am going to paint for my rebuild. It has a big golf course #10 sticker on each side. What is the best way to get these and the sticky off the body before I begain paint prep?
Thanks |

Re: Sticker removal?
Heat gun/hair dryer to loosen sticker . . . GooBGone or WD-40 to remove glue residue works for me normally . . .

A plastic putty knife might help in some cases.

Carefully use a razor blade to peel it off, be sure not to "dig" into the plastic (or cut your finger) Goof off/goo gone for any residue. I use one of these:
It also works great on glass and fiberglass, I can't tell you how many boat registration numbers I've removed over the years with that thing! |

Heat is the best. Even leave it sitting in the hot sun.
Harbor Freight sells a cheap heat gun for like $15. |

Re: Sticker removal?
I had the same problem. I used the wife's hair dryer and it worked perfect. Warm the sticker up and start peeling it with a thumb nail till you get enough peeled back to grab it with your fingers, then slowly peel it off.
Goo Be Gone is what I used to remove any sticky residue left. |
