Default Key postion when charging

Just bought a used 07 Precedent, the guy I bought it from says key must be in off postion when charging, just trying to confirm this, read the cart and charger manual, it didn't say either way? TIA

I don't think it makes any difference. I have the same cart. I left my key switch on by accident a couple of times while charging and the battery pack charged just fine. I do think that it would be best to leave the key switch in the off position while charging.
