Dust Covers
How can I determine if I have plastic or metal dust covers on my front hub? I have an '86 club car ds. I am looking into lifts for my cart and many of them say they only work on one or the other. Also which lifts are the best for the money?

Re: Dust Covers
Look at your dust covers and see if they are plastic or metal.

Re: Dust Covers
Looking back on my question again it doesn't say what I wanted to know. Where are the dust covers located? Are they under the rims, do I need to remove the wheel or somewhere else?

Re: Dust Covers
They are in the center of the front hubs. You may have to take off hubcaps or remove a front wheel if you have center caps. Sorry, I wasn't trying to be a smart a@% but just answered your question!

Re: Dust Covers
No problem. Like I said my question did not ask what I wanted to know. Thanks for the info.

Re: Dust Covers
My hubs are metal and I don't know what the plastic ones look like. A magnet or a tap with a screwdriver should determine what material they are.
