Default Gold Cart on F-250 Tailgate?

Hoddy, hoping someone has done this. I have a F-250 6 3/4 bed. My golfcart will fit all the way in the bed without a toolbox, but I really need a box (no sidebox). The cart would fit with the box but the back tires would sit on the tailgate. Is that too much weight for the tailgate?
I'm gonna post this on my F-250 forum also.

Thanks

You are asking a lot of the cables..... and gas cart maybe .... not an electric You can help the reduce the load by putting a solid plank down under the wheels that extends out to the end of the tailgate......Load the cart on top of the planks (2x8 or 2x10 & steel loading ramps would be even better) but this will help carry some of the load.

Just to make it more fun to load, you may find if you can back it in the majority of weight will be in the truck, not on the tailgate.

When backing in just make sure you either remove your windshield or secure it really well.

I have a shortbed Silverado and my tires sit on the tailgate also.
I use two 8' 2X8s that I put in the bed, back down in the ditch and drive the cart in.
Been doing it for years and no issues. Just make sure the boards are long enough that the front wheels sit on them as well.
