I had bought one of Scotty B's meter for an ezgo and it was simple to install and worked perfect. Wired it to the ignition. The ignition plate for the ezgo made it so simple to install. I now have a 2010 club car precedent. I want to install another meter and I have looked at the Club car plates which will work nicely. trying to figure out how you guys are cutting the "square" holes for the meter in the dash. Are you drilling it out or cutting it out? This step has me a little worried that I will screw it up. Any advice?

I traced around the meter and drilled three 1/8" holes in each side to get a hack saw blade in and then cut the square out. DON'T cut it TOO big. the meter will fall out. It is better to cut it small and use a sharp knife to trim it to size.

. . . after initial cutting inside the traced lines, I used jeweler's files to slowly get it to size . . . when I finished, it fit perfect with no need for any trim piece . . . slow and steady will give a good result . . .

Thanks guys......I am now thinking of not using the plate and just cutting it out like you guys explained with drill, saw and file. I think it will look awesome if I don't screw it up. Thanks for the advice. I will cut small and then keep filing untill it fits. Unfortunantly, Scott B is out of them right now so I will check back after Nov 15.
