This may be what you are looking for. This was a little CC we had out at the ranch with a Carbon Fiber dash and my meter installed.

Bingo - huh ?

Trace the meter with a silver sharpie then drill four corner holes and cut between them INSIDE the sharpie marks you traced. Then seak up on the final fit with a metal file.... the meter has 1/16th lip on the face, There is no room for error unless you buy the trim piece

Here is the Scottyb meter I installed on my parents CC. I left the lens protector on so it won't get scratched.

Follow up, I ended up wiring the meter to the key switch, a couple of miscues along the way as to which wire to use, but I did get it finally. I removed the "idiot light" from the dash and left it connected not sure if I could disconnect altogether or not and placed it behind the dash. So I opened up the hole where the idiot light was and placed the new meter in there, looks great! Very Happy I have this meter and it looks like 2 of my friends are ordering them too...referral fee???

Technically you shouldn't need the idiot light. Appropriately named because only an idiot would run their batteries down far enough to make the warning light come on. But be advised that it has other functions like telling you if the charge cycle has been interrupted.

bjm323, pull the plastic off of the meter face. I have seen that type of cover melt onto the surface when exposed to the sun.

How low (volts) before you really need to charge.
