I wouldn't go backwards to a series cart, step up to AC it's better than both of them.
By the time you fiddle with changing all that's required for a series cart (motor, controller, throttle and wiring) you'd be up in the $1500+ range.
For a little over $2K you have an AC cart that will outrun, out climb and out distance any other cart and you will have a hill decent mode that series carts don't have.

Is there an echo in here?

All you need for an AC conversion is the kit which includes an AC controller, an AC motor, 2ga cables and some control wiring.

6000 RPM Motor, 18HP, 81 lbs torque, here's a chart example:

The eaisiest thing to do is sell your Precedent and get a series cart with the money. To convert it you would need a series motor, controller, F/R lever and then you would just have to track down all those wires and figure out where the heck they go. Your MCOR throttle works just fine in a series cart. A 36v series motor will give you about 30% more torque and speed than your 48V shunt motor.

Yea I was originally going to try and find a series ds and build it to what I wanted but found this 06 precedent for $3,000 that already had 6" allsport lift, camo body, less then year old trojan batteries and other extras so knew it was a good deal but not such a good deal for what I need it for. It has been fine till few weeks ago I stalled it on big rough hill and smelt something burn for like a sec and have had issues every since even on small inclines now. Thought about just trading it in on a stealth or something similar but really like the cart that I have but just don't think it worth trying to build to my liking for money
