Slow cart
Newbie here. I have a 94 36v clubcar resistor type. The cart is running very slow,I checked each battery all measure 6.4 except 1 @ 6.2 they have been sitting for 2 days after charge. I saw somewhere to replace the solenoid, would that be the first to place to start? Thanks Shemp

Re: Slow cart
Solenoid would be a very unlikely failure that way. When a solenoid fails you don't get any movement out of the cart.
I would start with checking battery voltages UNDER LOAD. Hook your meter up to each battery and take off. Note the lowest voltage. Repeat on the rest of the batteries. It's good that you checked their voltage at rest but that is not going to tell you much about their ability to sustain voltage under load. I would start there! Barna |

Re: Slow cart
Thanks for emailing me when I missed your thread
Likely your problem is battery related. Tape your meter to the pack and drive ~ if you see a dramatic drop in voltage.... 4 or more volts. Repeat the test with the meter attached to each individual battery to see which ones are bad ....a drop of more than 1 volt in a battery is bad, assuming fully charged.... |

Re: Slow cart
I had a brand new set of Interstate batteries and hooked them up and no change still exteremly slow so I returned them to the friend that got them for me at no charge. That is why I'm baffled. What else could it be? Shemp
