Default Motor Options for Columbia Par car

I have just purchased a 2002 Columbia Par Car (48v) Vin# 2ED-30520-E2. After doing alot of research i found out that the motor is a Briggs & Stratton Etek. The motor is shot and i need to know if a motor meant for a Club Car will fit? And also do i need to make any adjustments to my controller. I believe the motor is a 19 spline.
