help
put new 12v in my 06 now the charger goes to about 15amps and then drops off to blow1 amp and stays there? anyone had this?

not sure but if its still charging see how long and leave it till it shuts off............after a few charges like that see if anything changes..........................

I am assuming your cart had 12v batteries before? Sounds like to me a bad battery (yes it can happen being new). Only way to tell is a hydrometer.

When you plug the charger in, does the OBC sample the pack, shut off/on quickly and begin charging? If it does not do this little blip off & come immediately back on then the OBC may be at fault. This can take up to 1.5 minutes after initial start up to happen.

Once you plug it in it starts out up to 15 amps then drops off below 1amp(and happens fast you count to ten and it happens) and sits there left it on from 430pm till 1100 am and was still on..

Under Dog, what brand charger are you using?
This sounds like what happened to me earlier this year, when a sensing wire got left off the battery pack, on an aftermarket LVS brand charger. The charger couldn't see pack voltage, so after the 10 sec initial charge, the charger would stop... |
