Default Charger won't stay on

I am having as issue with my charging my 2004 DS. When I plug in my charger after running my cart it pegs out the charger to 15+ and then slowly eases down to just below 15 and shuts off. This usually takes 15 or so minutes. My battery light is staying on all the time, which may or may not mean anything as I understand they are to some degree useless. Regardless, it is not charging the way it used to. It used to come on for a few seconds, shut of very briefly, then come back on and stay on for a long time, the whole while the needle would slowly fall throughout the charge until the cahrger cut off, No more. Any Ideas, please? I have tried resetting the OBC.

So the charger no longer runs for a moment and blips off and back on to start? Sounds like your OBC has failed. Try the OBC bypass to verify the charger is working.

Actually, it comes on for 15 minutes at the most (sometimes only 3-4 minutes) and then shuts off. It won't come back on until you run the cart and then plug it back in.

Well, I don't have a way to check the voltage of the batteries here at my house, but strangely enough, it has stopped acting up and has gone back to "normal". Thanks for taking the time to give comments. I am still going to check my batteries.

If it fixed itself, it will probably be back. I agree with the earlier post to check
the cables. When in doubt, change them, a set of cables is cheap compared to finding a battery terminal melted into a little blob on a now useless battery.
A volt/ohmmeter should be in your tool box if you have an electric cart. You can get one for $5 at HF when there on sale or you can get a better one
for probably $30 or less many places. When you ask how to check something, you'll be asked a question you will not be able to answer without one.
