Default V Glide Pot adjustments? 1994 36v CC

Does anybody know what the positioning of the wiper arm switch should be in the V Glide for the solenoid to activate? Mine doesn't activate until 3/4 of the way on to the 3rd copper plate and the motor does not run until it's fully on the third plate.

Plus,.I was under the assumption that full off throttle positioning would be solidly on the first plate but I was able to dig up a somwhat fuzzy diagram off the internet that shows, at full off, the wiper switch splitting the first and second plates. Is that correct?

Thanks in advance!

that sounds about right, as to when it should activate i,m betting every cart with a V-glide is just a little different..............are you getting full speed? that would concern me more than where it activates..........................

I haven't gotten it on the road yet to see how fast it goes but when running it with the back jacked up, it runs so fast I'm afraid to run it too long cause it sounds like it wants to spin those wheels right off. :-)

The previous owner who gave up on it did tell me that he just had the motor rebuilt with high speed in mind. I guess I'll find out.
