Default Mximum voltage a 8V battery should be subject to during a normal charge

Hi,

I was wondering what is the maximum voltage a 8V battery should be subject to during a normal charging cycle.

I have a 48V DS 2002 IQ. i think.

Regards Scott.

About 10.5 volts is the most a stock golf cart charger will put into an 8v. They can take more for short periods of time.

Thanks for your prompt reply scottyb!

I am getting upto 10.8V per battery for the last 5 amps (upto a couple of hours) of the charge cycle.

Is this anything to be concerned about?

Toward the end of the chargers cycle it will do an equalization charge. That reading seems perfectly normal to me.
