Default Club carmdl. Aq0604 will not hold charge

, I recently bought a club car mdl. aqo640 48 volt 4 12 volt batteries, when i charge the batteries they seem to run down really fast, like after 2 miles!, i topped off the water charged all the batteries and did a load test on them and they were all reading in the good range, the guy i got it from said they were 2007 batteries, i notice when i am going down a hill that the cart will slow itself down, is this normal, i also read in another post to unhook the speed sensor wire on the end of the motor??? what does this do, any help or info. will be greatly appreciated, thanks danny

your batteries are 12 volt batteries and they are almost 5 years old ...........i think they are just about done thats about the lifespan of them although some guys do get a little more..................as for it slowing down on hills i think thats normal for that cart........................................

You've got a 2006 DS golf car with the IQ system. Sounds like you've got bad batteries. Time for some new ones! And yes, the motor braking is normal with the IQ system.
