Need any help possible FAST!!!
I'm about to purchase the batteries for my cart and I'm looking at the trojan T-860, T-875, T-890 there is only about $200 difference between the T-860 and the T-890. Is it worth it and will it make that big of a difference. This cart will be used to drive around the property, the lake, and to the hunting spots up and down the gravel road. I really, really appreciate any advice. Thank you.

I don't know what size batteries that you have in your cart now nor do I fully understand the question. Some of those batteries will evidently be larger in size and may not fit your battery bucket if that helps.

Re: Need any help possible FAST!!!
I currently have 6 dead Crowne CR-165 8v batts and I'm going to buy some trojans from a local dealer. I can get the T-860, T-875, or the T-890. From the T-860 to the T-890 with batts, install, corrosision grease, and load test is only a $200 difference. Also after speaking with trojan the difference is almost a 50% greater run time at 56A so I'm wondering if for my application is it worth the extra $200. The T-890 size is the same as the T-875 which is what the manufacture puts in the carts, but is a few pounds heavier per battery.

Go with T-875 or 890.

890's should last longer, in both range and age. IMHO, If you can afford it, I'd go with the larger capacity batteries!

Re: Need any help possible FAST!!!
Well they just called back and it will take 2 weeks to get the T-890 set in, but they have the T-875 in stock for $120 less. Should I wait or go for the T-875?

T-875 is all my dealer sells here and there are 12,000 registered golf carts. T-875 will do you just fine, I run them myself too.

875s are great! 890s are better but I think you'll be more than satisfied with the 875s

Re: Need any help possible FAST!!!
Here is another piece to the puzzle. I have a light kit on the cart and plan on putting 2 12v off road lights on the cart. I will also be lifting the cart and putting bigger wheels and tires on it...Will it benefit me to have the bigger batt pack?

Re: Need any help possible FAST!!!
Well I appreciate all the fast responses and great advice. I just finished some bargaining and can't pass up the deal we worked on the T-890 set and I think it will be worth the 2 week wait so I can get my lift and wheels ordered. Thanks again everyone you all are AWESOME as usual!
