Default Steering & suspension

Sunday, drove my stock 97 CC DS 48v up to the club for a round of golf. I was amazed at how much difference there was btw the steering and suspension btw my cart and the newer model EZ-GO CARTS at the club. Mainly, the ease in turning the steering wheel (felt almost like power steering) and the overall comfort of the ride. These ez-go's are nothing fancy, they seem like refurbished, gently used carts. Currently my 97 CC is stock w 8" rims and most likely all original suspension and steering. Is it possible to refurbish steering and suspension to make it drive w ease and where do I start. Also would like to lift it minimally to get rid of the squat look of the 97 CC. Need ideas please. peace be w you.

Get yourself a grease gun and lube up the front end. I've shown three grease fittings to look for on the front right side. Similar setup on the right.

Don't know anything about lifting but if you leave your cart standard then the front end repair kit for $59.99 from one of the site sponsors "Everything Carts" is the best $60 you can spend. The kit includes king pins and bushings and suspension bushes.Your steering and ride is likely to be wear and tear related and this kit should improve things. Also check wheel bearings and steering ball joints.

Also, check your air pressure in the front tires. Low pressure can cause sluggish steering..............
