If you put a 36v motor on a 48v cart, dont you increase the chances of burning the motor quicker?

If it was me I would go with a 48v motor. What part of the country are you from? I have some good used CC 48v 10 spline motors I would sell for $100 + shipping.

The 36v motor will be just fine on 48v, lots of people running them on 48v, and it will put a smile on your face, you'll get 30% more in torgue, and speed over the 48v motor

I think I will look for a 48 volt motor and a set of batteries and go that route.

mory, i,ll say this once more and than let it rest ................you,ll be much happier with a 36 volt motor and your in no danger of anything burning, there are dozens of guys on this site right now running 36 volt motors in thier 48 volt carts.......call rich at PQ and ask him he,ll tell ya.......thats why he can,t keep 36 volt motors on his shelfs cause everyone with a 48 volt cart is swapping their 48 volt motors for 36 volt motors...........i,m getting ready to send in two 36 volt motors to have done and both will be in 48 volt carts, the thing is if this is a 36 volt cart your upgrading i would just grab two more 6 volt batteries instead of getting 8 volt batteries again you,ll be happier.....but in the end its your cart your money so you need to do it your way but don,t let anyone scare you about using a 36 volt motor because it will work with no problem,s what so ever..........................

I do have a 36 volt ezgo marathon motor , if I switch the coulper from the 19 spline to a 10 spline will it bolt up ? even if it won't work it would be cheaper to get a 36 volt motor and 2 batteries then get a 48 volt motor and 8 batteries..
