Well, that means a $900-1000 investment just to make sure it runs (cart cost plus batteries) . . . a gamble that may or may not work out for you . . . hopefully the guy is honest, but be cautious . . . any other "issues" could be expensive . . . there are plenty of newer carts out there for under $2000 that you can test drive . . .

well for 300 if thats all it needs is batteries............you can sell the 36 volt charger and buy a 48 volt charger and buy 8 volt batteries instead of 6 volt i,m not sure about the controller some are 36/48 volt if thats the case you would save there but you still need some other thigs..............if your gonna buy it and than convert it your gonna have 1500 to 2000 grand tied up and for that kind of money i have to agree you should be able to find a newer 48 volt cart for under 2000 grand and if your patience you may pick one up for under 1500..............its all in how much you want to spend and is convertying a cart something you just want to do yourself, now don,t get me wrong you can sweeten up a 36 volt cart also, hi speed motor bigger controller and that may be cheaper than converting..........................
