Default Time to give up on my DS Club Car

As much as I loved riding my 2006 DS, the darn computer has finally frustrated me to the point where I am putting up for sale and probably by a different brand.

Earlier this year I was having charging problems...batteries were fine, charger was fine, wiring was fine...turned out that if there is a slight variation in amperage when charging, the computer shuts the charge down as if it were a power surge.

Had to get our CART SHED rewired and all went well.

Now I order satellite radio and it does not work...standard radio didn't work either...just loud horrible static...turns out the cart computer puts out too much interference....so that's it, I'm done.

Grrrr.....

Is it AM or FM? I read AM will not work on any cart due to the frequency of the motor.

What about a different model, like the precedent. My EZ NOGO friends say mine rides like a caddy!

Why don't you remove the computer and get an intelligent charger. You can sell the computer and the Club Car charger.

Smart chargers don't need the OBC to charge your batteries. The CC chargers depend on the OBC to charge your batteries. It's like the computer is outside of the charger. You can buy a charger that is not dependent on the OBC. So if your OBC crapped out, and your CC charger is about to do the same, buying a "smart" charger and tossing the OBC would be a viable option to save $$$.

Between the two, what is the better system?
