Default 2007 CC Prec charger shuts off

My apologies, I'm sure this has been covered in another post but after 45 minutes of looking I'm not finding it.

My 2007 CC precedent charger is shutting off after a couple of hours and only gives me enough charge for about 45 minutes. I have checked all batteries (2009 batteries) individually and in synch. I have replaced the charger. I also tried resetting the obc (did not make the clicking everyone says you should hear). All did nothing.

MCOR??

The charger comes on no problem and shuts off after about 2 hours. Even if I go out, unplug and plug it back in and the charger comes back on it still only gives me a short amount of run time. Just enough to limp around the community. 3 holes of hilly golf tops.

Any help, suggestions, expertise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hof

Charger is good. My original worked fine but I replaced it thinking that was the problem. New one does the same. Put on my buddies cart and it works fine on his. Full charge. His charger does the same on my cart. I thik I've eliminated the charger as the problem. haha

Faulty OBC?? Maybe try bypassing the OBC and see if it charges fine.

if its in the cart it has to be OBC related as thats controls aspects of charging.......i have just not seen one that ran a few hours before shutting off...........................................

What type batteries?
What are the fully charged voltage readings of EACH battery?
What are the depleted voltages of EACH battery after those 45 minutes, etc.?

I'm sure you've checked ALL battery connections for tight, clean connections!

Please don't assume all are fine. Your OBC is the brain of your charger letting it know how much to "Put Back" into your pack. Obviously something is wrong... and could very well be the OBC itself.
But please post your readings of above, including the full pack voltage once charged and depleted.

isn't this about the time that Club Car and Trojen had the battle about who was selling junk,,, cc said the trojen batteries were bad and trojen said that the CC's charger/obc was messed up? I've been told by a couple of people to avoid CC during that time.

My money is on scuba! I bet a battery is bad, prolly just one cell causing all this headache.

What brand of batteries are in it?

Make sure your charger is tapering down to 5 amps or below before it shuts down. If so, the computer is turning it off normally. Check your battery voltage across the battery pack once the needle reaches 5 or below. It's supposed to be 58.3 to command the charger to turn off. I'm with Scuba as well. I'll bet you've got a bad battery dropping much more quickly than the others. When this happens you have a very quick recharge rate due to the fact that the other three are pretty well charged to begin with. And possibly, some of the cells in the bad battery as well.
