Default Precedent speed tricks?

I have an 05 Precedent that will run around 19-20mph. Speed is fine until regen kicks in. Can I bypass it or can I change the magnet to get around 25mph? The same torque is fine if it would just "run out" and not slow itself down. I have heard you could just unplug the sensor but wanted to make sure before I tried. Any suggestions are appreciated. Also thoughts on speedylink??

If you feel your cart pull real hard when you hit the pedal and then it feels like it slow down and is holding back then your cart is set to a speed code 2. You can change the magnet and it will bypass this but to get the most out of your cart you should reprogram the controller for a code 3 with fast accel turned on and pedal up set to 0. This is the best setting for the precedent (at least from my personal experience)

It's on speed code 4 already by those speeds, why would he go to code 3 and knock it down to 15mph?

If you unplug the sensor you'll slow down to 8 MPH. I would agree that it sounds like you're already set at Private Code 4 if you're getting those speeds. I don't believe you'll see more speed with SpeedyLink so I'd check out Plum Quick for a motor upgrade.

So the speed code 4 still has regen braking? Sounds like I just need to disable the regen if possible. Seems like it would be easiest on budget versus changing the motor. Does PQ take your motor and rebuild it and send it back? Would that be cheaqper than buying new motor?
thanks

Yes, speed code 4 has the regen braking set at 19.6mph! Yes, thats what PQ does. They also disable the regen brake. Mush cheaper than buying a new motor. How fast are you looking to go?

25mph is what I want! That is until I get there and just have to have more. My in-laws have a GEM car that runs 25 and I really need to be able to keep up. Thanks

You need a new motor and I'm not sure the PQ Bandit is your answer.
