Default Dry Moly Lube

Club Car Precedent. Manual says to use dry moly lube on the pedal group. I got a can of Club Car moly lube, shook it well, and started spraying on the pedal mechanism. It looks like black Rustoleum. Do you spray the entire assembly with the lube, or just where there are moving parts? The can says to hold it about 18 inches from where you spray so it seems like it would be difficult to just spray it into the moving parts area.
