Headlight 400 lumens only 1.4amps
Golf cart headlight 400 lumens at a 25 degree wide beam ( CORRECTION 590 LUMENS )
Thought i'd share this with you. I have installed 3 of these spotlight so far with no use of voltage reducers. The light use only 1.4 amps and will work with voltages from 9 to 36volt with no adapters. I connected to only one 12 volt battery on each 3 carts and the low amp draw doesn't appear to drag down the one battery. I have also checked all battery voltages after a full charge and they all just about equal. Keep in mind that 1.4 amp rating MEANS that 1.4 is drawn in the period of an hour. so if you lights are on for 3 solid hours you used only 4.2 amps. The amount of light on a dark campground road is amazing. It's like haveing 4 headlights on. anyway i know i will get creamed on for suggesting a one battery method instead of a voltage reducer...but you can't argue with success. here is the web site (hope i'm not stepping on toes by posting ) http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...hp10_specs.htm |

Re: Headlight 400 lumens only 1.4amps
You misread the price ..it is $69.95
Scotty.......... i would buy this light at $90 even. all i can tell you is when other people in the camp ground saw it in action they said wow..too bright.....then days later some asked me where to buy.... it produces an unbelieveable amount of light with vertually no amp draw... when i said it lights up the whole road ...i means like 500 feet ahead of you and the the color temp of the light while slightly cool is not that harsh white color. even though the rating is up to 36 volt... one person in the campground is running at 48 volts ( i don't advise) and it works.. i run mine at only 12 volts ...less draw than a converter ( voltage reducer) |
