Slow cart

I have a 94 36V CC just replaced all the batteries and the cart is still running exteremly slow. I can barely climb the driveway. It runs slow on flat ground but really stuggles on inclines. I see there is a speed switch could that be the problem? If so how do I test it? Shemp :occasion5:

Re: Slow cart

36 volt isn,t gonna have a speed switch.........if batteries are brand new they are only about 75% right now so you,ll need to break them in and thats gonna take some complete charge/discharge cycles...............you should start noticing a difference after about the 15th charge cycle..........its very important that once you plug the charger in you leave it alone until it shuts off or you,ll never break them in right and you won,t be happy........................8)

The cart ran exactly the same way before I changed the batteries. That was why I changed them. What is the swicth that looks like a fan with cables attached that lead to the coils under the seat? Shemp

yeah you got me it almost sounds like your decribing a controler cart and a resistor cart...............when you say slow how slow? 12 mph is stock..............................8)

Probably . . when he said "fan", I was thinking a round one, not a hand held one . . .

Re: Slow cart

It is a resistor cart. I am speaking of the wiper switch is what it is called in the wiring diagram. In another it was called a speed switch. So I didn't know what its purpose was and thought that may be an issue. Thanks for your responses. Shemp

Yes that is what he must have.
Pull the cover off of the V-glide and with the key off ~ press the gas peddle down and see if the wiper arm goes all the way to the top ? Also when cool check the resistor coils for breaks...
