93 club car resistor cart

I just bought a 93 club car resistor cart. I had planned to put a lift kit, tires, wheels and a torque motor on it. I believe now that I might have screwed up because these resistor carts are limited. What do I need to do in order to upgrade the motor on this cart to create more torque for carrying 4 passengers with bigger tires

Ideally you would convert it to solid state speed control.

you may come out cheeper buying a solid state 48 volt club car and using yours for spare parts

A stock 48v cart with big tires and 4 passengers is going to need a complete upgrade to haul the mail too.
When you put bigger tires on these carts you change the gear ratio.
If you don't think that is significant do the math on the circumference of a 18 inch tire versus a 23 inch tire...
Add 2 more passengers = double the load.
You can convert the cart you have and increase the voltage to get the cart to do what you bought it for.

Thanks for the help guys. I took the advice and traded the cart in on a newer (more expensive) 2008 Club Car. Found a guy in Oklahoma that fixes them up, great guy and lots of knowledge like you guys.

forgot to say that I went with the 48V this time with the IQ motor.
