Default AQ0611 Slowed drastically after 40 feet

This is a friends cart. It sat all summer with batteries unhooked. 6 months. Charged batts and it would run a few feet and then slow to get home speed. After several recharges it will run a mile or so if I don't push it to hard before going into get home speed. It seems like it points to batteries but they check 11 volts on a load checker on a fresh charge and all check in the 90 % range no load I have checked the specific gravity and are all in the good range. I might add that it runs in reverse pretty quick even after running it for awhile after it goes into get home speed. I see a sticky about resetting the OBC but doubted that procedure because of the apparent error with the batteries being unhooked and the horn blowing in the middle of the procedure. I tryed it anyway and it didn't change anything. Any tips would sure be appreciated...lugnutz

if the cart is running normal and just losing its guts way to soon.......start with the batteries.............check the SG in each cell.....clean all connections and terminals and replace any cables that may need it...when you say recharge are you letting it charge until charger shuts off or are you taking it off charger to test ride?? leave it go until charger shuts off on its own...................................

I don't think it was charged before storinge. I am leaning in that direction also. I just wanted to know if there were any cronic problems like this in the "AQ" series cart before we started changing batteries. I will wait and see if anyone else has an idea. Thanks golfcartthing....

Charge the batteries fully and let them sit for 12 - 16 hours.

test individual individual battery voltage and individual cell SG.
Post all the #s here and we can see what you are working with.

I mentioned that in my first post scotty. All were in specs and were taken after the slow down had occured so that would be at least equivalant to a 12 to 16 hours wait. I am going to quit on this and return it to its owner. I had hoped to save him taking it to a dealer. I have had all the fun I can stand with this project... I thank you all for your time and effort. lugnutz
