Charger won't work since I put in new batteries
Hi,this is my first time on BGW ... great site! I just purchased a used 07 DS cart which was in bad shape. I took it apart and had a couple of the battery bracket holders taken out (corrosion bad) and rewelded in new ones and also had the cart painted at the same time. It did work before I did all this and it does have new batteries in it. After I put in all together the cart still works like it did but when I went to put the charger on it there is nothing. I made sure I have power to the charger but there is nothing. I also checked my battery hookups/connections and I believe they are correct too. Not sure what the problem could be as I'm fairly new to the cart world. Would anybody have any ideas on this one? Thanks in advance a bunch.

trace the wires back from the cart's charger receptical back to the batteries.....is there a wire hanging that you forgot to connect ??
now put a vom meter to the charger receptical......do you get 36 or 48 volts present indicating that you are connected directly to the batteries |

I looked for a wire that may be unconnected but don't see one anywhere. I'll go and get an ohm meter and check out the voltage. Never thought of that ... good idea. Thanks.

I checked the charger receptacle and there is almost 48 volts across. Possibly it may be the charger but it worked the very last time I used it?

Re: Charger won't work since I put in new batteries
I would check the stickys at the top of the Club Car page for info on resetting the OBC. I'm not that familiar with Club Car, but I know that The OBC controls charging, and there are steps to reset it once power is removed.
Just found this. It may help! http://www.alltraxinc.com/files/Doc1...ub-Car-OBC.pdf |

Re: Charger won't work since I put in new batteries
Hi, actually both worked before I took it apart. There just doesn't seem to be that many wires that I took apart but that must be it. I don't have a wiring diagram for an 07 DS but I have looked at a few on the sticky's for the 4X12 volt system. I'll keep looking. The batteries were charged fully about 2 weeks ago before I tookthe cart apart. The cart now works just as it did before I took it apart but the batteries must be loosing charge as I've drove it around a few blocks here trying it out. Is there any way to test out the charger somehow? I did make sure it's getting 110 volts to it. Thanks for your help.

Re: Charger won't work since I put in new batteries
look at the #1 battery you should have besides the battery cable a 10 gage wire hooked up as well for charging........................you said you did some welding? was it in the cart that you did it and if so was anything still hookwed up when you did?..........can you try your charger on another cart? or can you get a known good charger to try on your cart? this will narrow it down to either a charger problem or a cart problem..................................

Re: Charger won't work since I put in new batteries
Yes, I have the 10 guage red wired also hooked to the number 1 battery. I had no batteries in the cart when I had the tig welder weld it for me. I will try to find someone with a cart like mine to try my charger on (good idea ... thanks). I also did the reseting of the OBC but never heard the buzzer sound after 30 seconds or ever actually. Do you know what would make the buzzer sound if the battery ground is disconnected? I went through the procedure anyway but still nothing. I think I have to try the charger elsewhere first to eliminate that possibility.

Re: Charger won't work since I put in new batteries
I was just thinking and is it possible I got the 3 wires on my forward/reverse in the wrong order even though forward reverse works? I can't seem to think of anything else just yet. There is a brown, blue and orange wire and I don't know the actual sequence they get attached.
