Default Need help with Batteries/Charging unit

My 2001 CC has been running out of juice after 14 or 15 holes. The batts are 14 months old. Since this stared happening about two weeks ago my home charger has been taking much longer to recharge the batteries...the meter goes down to "0" after 16 hours but the charger is still buzzing. When I go back to the course the next day the cart poops out after another 14 or 15 holes. When I have left the cart overnight for charging at the club cartbarn the next day the cart has no problem completing 18 holes. I had a tech do a discharge test. Here are the numbers:
Batt 1 5.2 /Batt 2 6.7 /Batt 3 7.5 /Batt 4 7.3 /Batt 5 7.4 /Batt 6 7.5 The tech says "Batts 1 and 2 are the weak batteries due to your voltage redudcer but are still good, they just draw faster". The tech also said I may need to replace the OBC.

My question is "why do the batts seem to hold up fine when charged at the cartbarn but seem to run out of juice prior to 18 holes when charged with my home charger."

i would think bat #1 is junk and i would also get rid of #2 just my opinion ............as for the difference thats its charging at 2 different places i wish i could answer but not being able to see a few things in person i don,t know what would cause that...........are you certain the charger at home is working? also i don,t see why you need to change OBC, i just re-read this is it a 48 volt cart? if so the last battery would concern me also ............................

Thanks Shadowman for the info. It is a 48 volt cart. Regarding the home charger the tech who took the batt readings also checked the home charger and said it was OK.

IN your cart the lights pull power off of the 2 batteries under the driver's seat. If these are the weak batts, then try to avoid using the lights or replace them with good used or move them around and watch your 12v usage?

If you have a voltmeter you can monitor your home charger and see that your batts are reaching 58-63 volts before cut off.

Factory voltage reducer on battery 1&2 for lights? May want to consider upgrading voltage reducer to a 48v-12v reducer to share the load with entire pack so you don't draw down the first two batteries . . .

My tech had told me that my charging unit was OK.....however after leaving my cart at my club's cartbarn and it always coming out with a fully charged battery system and always completing at least 18 holes I had the tech take my charging unit back to their headquarters. Sure enough...they called today and said my charging unit had several problems that needed to be fixed. I'll pick the unit up tomorrow and I'm sure my charging problems will be over. Thanks to all of you for your adivice and support.

I know it is pretty rare for the home charging units to be a problem but in my case it was. There were three different parts that had to be replaced.

They replaced the heat sink, breaker circuit, and a relay. Total cost was $90. Much cheaper than buying a new charger, for sure.
