Default Alltrax DCX500IQ

2006 Club Car Precedent 48v electric
Stock Motor
Alltrax DCX500IQ COntroller
HD 400amp Soleniod
4ga cables

I just installed my Alltrax DCX500IQ today. I clocked the cart with my GPS and only got up to 18 MPH. This was with no adjustments. I assumed it would be mor ein the 20-25 MPH.

Is this what it was supposed to do?
What adjustments do I need to make?

your mcor is most likely not producting a 100% throttle .

connect your lap top and have someone hold it while you drive. and using alltrex program in "MONITOR TAB" , view the settings to see if the throttle reached 100% .

if you don't get 100% load the file i have attached into your controller. It will increase the throttle and give you 100% .

i get about 23mph wilth a stock motor on level ground.

also here are my settings as a starting point for you . The reason my throttle response says "CUSTOM" is because i use the file that i have attached for you . also note in my signature that i show the same controller as you have .

Mine didn't come with a cable to connect to the computer. What do I need to go buy to connect it?

Merry Christmas!

The software from Alltrax is Free and is downloaded from their website. As for the cable, you need a USB to RS232 cable or adapter such as these... get one load the drivers for the cable on to your computer. Then have the controller power up and on, then plug the cable in to the controller, then the computer then start the software application.

get a cable ...........usb to com port (rs232) about 6 feet

the attached file has the program for programming the Alltrex controller and

the usb drivers for your laptop

don't forget to use the previous file for correcting the 100% throttle issue

I understand what I need to do it, my question is how does the new file load to the controller? When I have the computer plugged in, controller software open, and open the file does it load automatically?

You click on TOOLS and then upgrade and then browse to the file location.

For Bruce,

I have been having an issue with my throttle only reaching 97-98% much of the time which also does not allow the turbo mode to engage. I am hopeful this is the same issue you describe. Please read below and reply if this file will work with my setup. My setup is mostly the same (DCX500, 400A Solenoid, 4G Wires) on an 07 Precedent except that mine also has a D&D 502:2 motor. When I got the cart it also had the custom curve set. This setting seemed a little touchy (throttle was jerky) so I changed the curve to linear - actually tried several settings but settled on linear. Subsequently, I was not able to reselect the custom curve - If I recall correctly, it shows nothing when I click on it. Can't test this out right now. So anyway, I downloaded the file you posted but will wait to hear if I can use it.

ok so we have the same cart and controller except mine is an 05...
the custom setting ( that is built in ) is not the file that i attached in this thread previous posts.... the new one will correct the 100% issue ( see post #2 for file )
