need a little help!
Hey guys installing my 1st motor today and have a quick question...I marked the wires on the old motor a1,a2,s1,s2...and got the new D&D motor in but it has a tag on it about hooking s2&a1 together???? help!! doesn't make sense

take a bit for pic..batteries charging...tag says"cw rotation connect S2&A1 together, connect S1 to batt & connect A2 to other batt....ccw rotation switch S1&S2" will try to take pic later...I'm on south side lake lewisville about 25min from euless.

D & D has a pretty good tech support staff. They will answer questions for you, and hopefully better than us.

Those directions sound like if you were installing motor into something that would not use a forward and reverse switch. They are telling you how to hardwire to get motor to turn clockwise or counter clockwise.

my buddies' D&D motor said the same thing, that tag must be for another application. I know you are going to wait and talk to them on Mon. but I'm sure you could hook it up just like you had it marked. That's the only way it's going to work on a golf cart, of course forward could be reverse an vice versa, but you are not going to hurt anything. Wait for the experts, I don't want to buy you a new motor. LOL.

Thanks guys...don't think I can wait untill monday to see how this thing goes with the new motor & controller...but if it fries the motor you are off the hook BRS

I got the 170-004-0002A motor torque&little speed from what they told me...also upgraded the wire to 2 gauge and have a 700amp controller to put on once I get my new F&R switch tuesday...
