Default Battery Year Question

Hey Fellas,

Just bought a 93 CC Series Cart and being a new owner did not ask a bunch of questions about the batteries. The cart ran fine and is in great shape but it only goes about 10 mph.

I inquired about replacing the motor with a high speed one and got some great advice on the D377. As I continued to "knowledge up" on the issue I ran across a thread on another site about "How to Identify the Date of your Batteries".

I looked on the POS post of my Trojan 105's and saw " E 2 " on all six batteries.

Am I correct that these batteries are from May of 2002? I sure hope not...

Anyway, I would like some confirmation on this method and if it is not true then is there another.

Thanks again in advance.

Yep . . . they code batteries in 10 year increments, figuring they won't last that long . . . so the 2 on yours are 2002 or 1992 or 1982, etc . . . start saving/shopping . . . .
