bad solenoid?
1986 36 volt club cart. Have wheels off ground,as I press gas pedal the solenoid on left side clicks, but nothing happens, as I continune to press I can hear and feel the others click, except the last one. Replaced them all and the micro switchs a year ago. Cart seems very slow.

Re: bad solenoid?
Sounds like maybe the micro switches have gone bad? Have you checked them?

Re: bad solenoid?
is the buss bar across the solenoids ok? how about the resistor coils, keep in mind even a clicking solenoid can be bad...........so if you can watch your wheels as you hear solenoids click look for speed increase and when it dosn,t increase should be that solenoid.......................................... .

Re: bad solenoid?
Sounds to me like the last solenoid is defective. The first one (drivers side) does not start the wheels turning. As the solenoids click in after the first - speed increases. The last one could be the cause of your speed problems. I have the same model and it goes through solenoids pretty fast. I've found that cleaning all the contacts as well as the resistor coil contacts and making certain that they all remain tight, goes a long way to making the solenoids last longer.
