Selecting 96 Club Car controller replacement
I have a 48V 96 Club Car (SN A9629-xxxxxx) that needs a new controller. This model has the old Regen 1 controller (PN 1018537-01) that apparently is no longer available. It is the black T-shaped model. I see that a lot of replacement controllers will not work with the old Regen 1 systems, or require extensive rewiring. What replacement controller can I use that is "plug and play" ready for replacing the old Regen 1 controller I have? Thanks for your help!

Re: Selecting 96 Club Car controller replacement
If there is no new controller available for this cart, could I get the old one rebuilt?

Re: Selecting 96 Club Car controller replacement
Shadowman, I would appreciate it if you would look at an after-market controller for the
96 48V Regen 1 cars at www.diygolfcart.com. It is item #575 and is a GE 300Amp unit that supposedly is a replacement for the old 1018537-01. Will it work? |

Re: Selecting 96 Club Car controller replacement
well according to the website it should work but i think i would make a call 1st and ask if it dosn,t will they take it back.............some places there are no returns on elec. parts so before you fork out that kind of money cover your bases........if you do get it and it does work let us know because from everybody i know there may be others interested.....................

Re: Selecting 96 Club Car controller replacement
There is someone on E-Bay offering to rebuild the old Regen 1 (1018537-01) controllers for $200. Check it out at http://www.ebay.com/itm/Club-Car-GE-...item45faefd2d1. Anyone have any experience with the quality of his rebuilt units?
