Day 3 of the Club car project :
After a general clean up and battery maintenance I actually got the solenoid to click then after reading some posts : I did what the man said ,we bypassed the solenoid leads and the motor turned the wheels . Oh exquisite joy an actual result. Not one of my strong points, results. Of course my pal Bobo was along to encourage and counsel me, Now what? Should I test the solenoid ( are solenoids testable or detestable ?) Should I beat it with a hammer or just buy a new one? Guess I'll start pricing one . Thanks for a great site it's a comfort I'm not out here alone. My wife and daughter are convinced I'm losing it so I haven't told them about the electric boat project yet. I'll just wait till the day I can drive up smirking in this little truck. B I |

Just buy a new one. They don't cost that much...at least not for the trouble you could get into. If it's not working now and you do happen to "get it working" it will surely leave you stranded far, far away from any sign of civilization.
