Default Parallel power converters?

I need more amperage (or wattage) from my 36V to 12V converter. I've asked my electrical genius friends if I can simply parallel an identical converters (transformer). The answers are 505/50 yes and no. So, has anyone here ever tried it? With what success?

1. How many amps you getting from current one?
2. How many do you need?
3. What the heck 12v accessories you running that you need more?

I would imagine you could run a second unit from the pack, separate from other one, and connect some stuff to that one via a secondary/separate 12v fuse block.

I just can't imagine needing 40 to 50 amps of 12v power available on a golf cart . . .

Ok . . now it makes sense . . just replace your 10A with a 20-25A unit . . . something like this:

I was thinking you already had a 20-25A unit installed . . . sorry . . .

That's probably what I'll wind up doing but I try to stick with our sponsors here. This cart already has one of the 10A units sold by most of them for about $25. MY first thought was to just get another identical unit from one of them and parallel, if that won't work I'll be getting the larger one.

I'm working on a cart that already has a 10A unit and its needs just a little more.

You should be able to get a 20-25 amp unit from one of the sponsors . . the one I showed you was just a reference . . look for one similar that has a "trigger" wire that you connect to ignition switch that turns the reducer on/off with switch so it does not run all the time. . . .

That's what I plan on doing, It was just that the question came up in the modifiaction and no one seems to have an answer. Well, in reality, everyone has an answer but there is no consensus. As far as the switching feature goes, the little 10A unit only draws 10 miliamps when not in use so the draw on the batteries is insignificant. Anyway, the carts should be plugged into their chargers when not in use.
