1989 club car windshield
My 89 CC has the older style windshield. The body appears to have provisions for the new style with 2 piece design. Anyone done this?

Re: 1989 club car windshield
I have a 1986 club car and I have run the splitwindshield several times. I'm not quite sure what you mean by older style windshield.
I just went and put a solid piece of Lexan onto mine, the cheaper split windshield only last a year or two, is what I have found out. |

Re: 1989 club car windshield
My cart roof and windshield frame has tracks on each side. The Windshield can lock into place down or above your head. It mounts to the two screw holes nearest the passenger compartment. The newer models I have seen mount to the two holes closer to the front of the cart (the windshield has some slope to it. It's not so straight up and down).

Re: 1989 club car windshield
Wow that is a first time I seen one like that, I think it is after market or something. As you can see my cart is a 1986 and has more slanted type windshield.
How does the windshield come in and out maybe just buy a new piece of lexan for it. |

Re: 1989 club car windshield
The more I look at it, the whole roof/windshield looks to be aftermarket (also has an integrated wx enclosure). It's all in better than good shape. More of an aesthetic issue. Some day I hope to have a roll cage anyway. Looks like I may just leave well enough alone. One of the brackets says Tampa Golf MFG.
