Converting 85 DS to Solid State
I bought all the stuff needed from ScottyB to convert my 1985 Club Car 36v to a solid state 48 volt cart. New 10 horse electric motor, potentiometer, etc. I will post pics as I complete it. Here are the first couple.

Re: Converting 85 DS to Solid State
Funny you should ask. Ever heard of the show called 'Sliced'. Was on for about a season - where they cut stuff in half. John McCalmont was the host of that, and is a good friend of mine. I had him under the cart installing the motor!

Re: Converting 85 DS to Solid State
Looking good! I plan on doing this conversion to my '85 this summer, so I'm watching every step. No detail is too small to report.

Looking god John, Very Clean. I like that ... Tell John M. were sorry we don't watch a lot of TV and surly we missed a good show but if he keeps standing around with his hands in his pockets, the only getting sliced in half around here is his wages

Re: Converting 85 DS to Solid State
I've always thought that the more lead the better when talking about batteries, so is it better to upgrade to 6 x 8v or use 8 x 6v?
