Purchase of Spare parts
Hi,
Can anyone help me with buying spare from the US. Every supplier I have checked so far will only accept payment from the US. Crystal at Everything Cart was very helpful but the bank charges were very high. I do have Paypay account. Parts I am looking for my EZGO TXT 2007. I am looking the new type steering wheel and some other accessories. Shipping will be to our agent in Houston exas whom will redirect the spares to the me. Thanks and look forward to favourable Tony |

Re: Purchase of Spare parts
Here are your problems
1: your name is Tony 2: you are in south Africa 3: you want to pay with paypal 4: you use a shipping agent in Houston 5: you have a "cut and paste" hard luck story these 5 things are red flags, and well known here in America as signs of scammers |

Re: Purchase of Spare parts
Hi rmarcusy,
That was not the answer I expected. According to your reply I fall into a category of unscrupulous people who is trying to defraud honest working people. You don’t know who I am and you don’t know what I do and living, Just to put “Cut and Paste” case straight. The agent in Houston is a reputable shipping agent that ships spares to us for the oil industry totalling thousands of dollars weekly. All I asked was for some professional advice but ended up with negativity. End of subject. |

Re: Purchase of Spare parts
I’m not accusing you of anything, I sent that message because if you are an honest person , this is why ,you will have trouble getting parts, just because of the actions of others that have used the same story that you used. My suggestion if to find a friend here in America ,perhaps at the shipping agent’s office, that will buy the parts you want and send them to you.

Re: Purchase of Spare parts
Tony,
Perhaps you have not had this expirience yet with Craigs list or ebay. I'd be happy to help you. However, you need to legitimize yourself far better than you have in your initial post. Sorry to say that your post requesting help with parts reads very much like every scam on Craigs and email responses to ebay items. "The agent in Houston is a reputable shipping agent that ships spares to us for the oil industry totalling thousands of dollars weekly." So, is there no one at your agent in Houston that is willing to help you with this? Seems with the volume of business that you claim, surely someone there would be happy to help you?? You need to help us help you! I've been in the logistics business for 37 years, give me the name of your agent in Houston, chances are I'm already familiar with them.......... |

Re: Purchase of Spare parts
I do apologize if my request was ambiguous. I have had a response from a dealer but the banking charges was 30% of the spare parts value which I thought was outrageous.
Holding a prominent position in the company I did not want to liaise with our agent or get him involved with the purchase of the spare parts but it seems that this will be the only way to go. Once in the office tomorrow morning I will get the agents address post it and then maybe someone can assist me by giving me the name of the closest supplier to their office in that particular area of Houston. Once again I apologize for any misunderstanding Tony Martin |

Re: Purchase of Spare parts
Well, sometimes one just has to pay the 30% to get what they want to spruce up their cart . . . being in a "prominent" position in an oil company, one would think that a couple hundred bucks extra for "bling" would be affordable . . . JMHO . . .

Re: Purchase of Spare parts
It’s the old saying waste not want not. I would rather donate the 30% to BGW
Before it goes any further I have already donated. |

Re: Purchase of Spare parts
Not sure what he is concerned about . . he says "bank charges" were high, not shipping costs . . . possibly exchange rate?
