Default Cart Moving

This past weekend my cart started acting weird. The parking brake wouldnt engage and the cart moves forward with just turning the key on - no pedal. Not sure whats up with the brake? I've read other posts about this I just wanted to confirm.

Is the cart moving on its own a solenoid issue?

In general without any knowledge of the cart the parking brake is disengaged by the acc. pedal, and the cart is moved forward by pushing the same pedal.
I would think you need to look at your acc. pedal linkage as it might not be returning all the way to home position.
Possible bent or sticking linkage or pedal assy, stick in it or just out of adjustment.

if your turning the key on and cart is moving its either the microswitch keeping the solenoid energized or the solenoid itself.....the fact the pedal won,t stay locked down could be playing a role or you have 2 problems...........................

Check under cart to see if parking brake ratchet/pawl assy is loose or broke off . . .

99 should have v-glide, so i would start with solenoid theres a better chance that its the solenoid over the microswitch in the v-glide..............try rapping the solenoid a few times to see if that does anything and if not i would change the solenoid..............................

Before you replace the solenoid, hold the brake, turn the key on and test for power at the two small posts on the solenoid.
If you have power without pushing the pedal then something is holding the micro switch in the "on" position or it is bad.

Sounds like your accelerator pedal is not returning to the fully released position. That would account for the parking brake not working and the movement. You may just need some lube on the pivot and linkage. I know you have a Club Car, but I've seen this same thing happen to E-Z-GO also!

crash i,m not 100% certain but if it has a v-glide there shoudn,t be a micro down there its gonna be in the v-glide box but i may be wrong ( won,t be the 1st time nor the last ) but i do agree depending on where the micro is located its either that or the solenoid.....if micro is down at pedal thats where i would look 1st but if its in the box i think the chance is better its solenoid has welded itself closed..............................
