Default Towing without turning the tow/haul switch on

Recently I dragged my 06 Precedent about 200 yards thru a corn field (Batteries Died) with my 4wheeler before realizing that I didn't turn my tow/haul switch on. Yep... I was disgusted with myself... should of known better when my 4wheeler was struggling pulling it. I blame it on the beer!

I plugged her in when I got back to the house and let her charge over night. She seems to be driving like normal.

Question is... What type of damage could I have caused by doing this to my unit? Good thing it was dragged in the field and not on the pavement or road.

Doing the towing as described can lead to a burned up motor, controller, or both. I would say you dodged a bullit on this one.

You were lucky. Some models are more sensitive than others to this problem. But all R/T carts should be towed with care.

I just replaced a Controller in a cart that had a similar story. Get a battery charge indicator or meter to avoid this situation all together.
