1987 Club Car DS Project -w/pics Constant updates!
Hey guys, I think the last time I posted on here I was 16 when I was tryin to figure out how to make my parents precedent faster. After flipping it several times being stupid, and growing out of the 'how fast can thing thing go before it kills itself' stage I finally just settled down and decided to buy something electric.
Well I wanted something lifted, with maybe 22-23" tires, just enough to take when I go camping down at peace river or when I go to the island the sand roads and what not. Well, it would be absolutely no fun to just go out and buy one right? So I found this one on craigslist for $1000, got it for $600 with brand new batteries and tires. Fell in love with the fact that its quiet and enjoyable as soon as I hit the pedal. Figured I could just build it myself. NOTE: I have absoultely no clue what im doing, and for that I dont think its turning out too bad. Anyways, less words more pics. |

Anyone know if this would fit my buggy?? Also what is a popular modification for more all around power?? im not crazy about speed, but I would like it to stay doing its average speed even if I were to load it down with a few people or climb a hill better. So I guess more torque without sacrificing too much top end |

This weeks goal
Take out ALL Batteries, wires, everything clean up the battery tray. Looks to be in okay condition but the wires are cooked and I wouldn't mind making it look even cleaner. Ill post pics as I go. Ill be ordering 4ga. Marine grade spool of wire to redo it all with. |

I would suggest 2 ga welding wire, with soldered copper wire connectors and heat shrink on them all.
