Default Need help figuring out how DS rear seat kit assembles...

Picked up this rear seat kit today and claims it fits my 87 CC DS... the rear seat is the newer designs but swears up and down itll work but the way my top is mounted im not sure. Anyways, I have absolutely no clue where these brackets go and what not... Is there someone that can guide me or a website? Not sure what brand it is...

Doesn't look like my kit that I got from TrademarkCarts (which fits 83-present CC) . . . is it a flip seat? . . . used? . . . was it mounted onto a CC before?

he said it was for a 99 ds he was building but never used it.. it is used. I thought it was a new display model but I was wrong. I hope I didn't just buy a seat I can't use :(

Typically the brackets are pretty self-explanatory when you look at what is mounted on the cart now and what you have laying on the floor . . . hopefully someone will recognize what seat kit you bought and be able to help you along . . . Good luck!

Don't know if this will help or not, but here is instructions that came with my kit, which has been mounted on my 99 CC DS and then moved to my 06 CC DS:

Well,,, after looking at yours and looking at mine, I think I have the wrong kit... I'm going to have to do some fabrication to make it work

the two l brackets in floor are from the bumper to lower step supports- the two z brackets are for 93-95 ds seat supports for seperate rear seats[part that touches your back] i think the square pieces are for roof supports for small roofs hope that helps.

Heres where I stand with it... I don't have new rear top supports, so I will have to make something. The Z bracket... the only way I could see it working is going where the front seats mount, it goes from those 2 mounting holes then to the back of the rear seat to keep it from bouncing.

as far as the seat, its self pretty much mounted its self together.

The only thing im left with now are the 2 long brackets... No clue what they are for but I feel like the step should be reinforced. the only way I could see it being mounted was where the bumper was mounted which was only two bolts. I feel that there should be a bar going from say the rear leaf spring shackle or something like that to the step... or bumper to front of the step. It just doesn't seem very solid

Mine is different, but my step supports bolt to the rear cross member on the frame. I did get new roof supports and most kits for older carts come with them when you specify the older year model. The rear seat is supported by the brackets going down to the bumper. If it were me, and I could, I would get another kit. Any chance you can take it back?

EDIT:

Sorry, I just saw your other post, and see you likely cannot take it back. Bummer.
