Default Newbie Question - Solenoid Wiring

I have a 01CC DS that i am converting from 36v to 48v. Everything is going fine but I am to the solenoid. I bought a 48VHD solenoid to install as part of the upgrade.

This may seem silly but I am not sure how to wire it. The new solenoid does not have any markings so i cant tell which wire goes where. Does it matter which wire attaches where as long as one goes to the vglide and one goes to the switch? The one I removed did not seem to have any markings either. I kept all of the wires the same as the were but just took a guess as to which side needed to go where. Thanks.

On the large wires it doesn't matter. The smaller wires may be polar sensitive. Wire it one way, if doesn't work, swap around smaller wires. If you have the diode(or resistor, can't remember what its called) on the large terminals there is a correct way and wrong way for it to work correctly. Just install same as old. There should be a marking on diode to help you out.
The Alltrax web site has an excellent tutorial they have added recently. That site should help you out. I believe its under their document section. Good luck.
